Oh, I'm not kidding. I hate New Jersey
Lately, I've been more and more eager to do these weekly updates, so you'll hopefully see one at least once a week from now on. The new position is going real well. The new director and supervisor actually e-mail me "thank you"s, which actually give me a good feeling. The weekend started with Happy Hour on Friday with the usual crew (Michelle, Monica, Shanika, and Deirdre) and a mess of salespeople. After that, I met up with Matt where I heard the rundown of his week's events. Saturday was consumed by Bill and Danielle's Engagement party. It took me literally 5 hours to get there because of the horrible New Jersey roads. I hate New Jersey and their sucky roads (gonna keep this clean with no cursing). On an upnote, I got to the party by 3 PM and was given the honor of being best man. This is my second time being best man. Bill is one of my best friends, so it makes it an even bigger honor. The wedding will be July 15, 2007, so I have time to plan an unforgettable bachelor party (maybe Vegas, or city, or option #3). The other guys and I have time. Sunday involved lunch with the family (Mom, Dad, Aunt Esther, and my grandmother) followed by catching the showing of "Shopgirl" in the city. "Shopgirl" is an adaption of the book written by Steve Martin and starred Steve Martin, Claire Dane, and Jason Schwartzman. The book was better (this will be the only time I read the book and then saw the movie). The day ended with bowling the Hofstra Crew (a typical Sunday event). Overall, it was a great weekend considering my latest situation (that won't be mentioned here). In a few hours, Monday will be upon me and I'm actually not upset about it. I like my job now.
