Where I Should Be At 23 (almost 24)
This week, starting with last weekend, had some good highlights that I was waiting on posting.
Last Saturday, I become the Long Island Pizza Eating Champ. Every year there is a Pizza Festival in Farmingdale to celebrate the best pizza on Long Island. One of the events is a pizza eating contest. I beat out 6 other guys, including one who actually brought an entourage. I won an all you can eat dinner at this place in Northport, a golden pizza cutter, a t-shirt, and $100....oh and a free meal. MMMM....pizza. Saturday also included the opportunity to see Third Eye Blind at Mulcahy's. I love those concerts where you can really get up close to the band.
Monday began the new job. I spent the entire week doing risk models. It's sad. I am so happy with this new job. No more begging for supplies, restictions on the internet, or embarassment at telling people what I do. This is nice fit for now. Hopefully within the next few years I'll be able to move on to other positions with bigger money, but for now this is home.
Thursday, all my Hofstra friends met up for Matt P's B-day at Croxley's. It was a reunion of sorts. I had a great time chillin the people I've grown to really have a good time with.
Friday, I went to the movies with Dad. Quality time in its truest form. We went to see "Serenity" on Sunday and "Wallace and Gromit" on Friday. Good times were had.
So today is Saturday, the plans are to visit Lexy and Dad at their new place. It's a sports themed party. We'll see how that goes. Should be fun.
Anyway time to get ready. Speak to y'all soon. Later.
