Milestones

So, if you know me, you know I'm all about milestones. All about that moments that mark definitive instances in your life. Such milestones included graduates, get togethers, break ups, new jobs, leaving old jobs....you get the point. There were three milestones this weekend.

Lennon: The Musical- I'm been waiting 2 years for this moment and I was not
let down. Nine people of various age, sex, and race
telling the story of John Lennon through his music. One
of those heaven moments that I dream about in my life.

The First House Hunt- My friend at work, Monica, mentioned these new places
being built in Central Islip (CI) over where NYIT. The
places sounds too good to be true. $200Ks for places
with between 2 - 3.5 bedrooms, 1.5 - 2.5 bathrooms,
brand-new. Turns out it was, but it was a start. I'm on
my way to a place of my own. I'm not being kicked out of
here, but now I have motivation. I will be on my own
soon enough.

The End of Six Feet Under- Tonight marked the end of the HBO tv series, Six
Feet Under. I got in watching Six Feet Under my
last year at Binghamton, 2002. It was kind of
ritual that Mel and I started accidentally. I was
at her place and there happened to be marathon. We
were hooked. Once we got home, we'd watch
separately and critique the episode right after
over the phone. After the breakup, I kept
watching. This is the last thing I shared with her
that has come to an end. Don't get me wrong, it
was a great show that I'll really miss watching,
but it also finally marks the end in my mind. For
her, it ended 9 months ago when I suggested the
breakup. This was one of the best last shows I've
seen in recent time and I will miss it.

Well, that was my weekend. This week Monica is out and I have to pick up the slack considering I'm her "buddy." At Henry Schein, there are assigned buddies that cover for one another when one is out. There are 5Ks to run, beers to drink, TV to watch, and people to meet and it's only Sunday.
