A Place to Call My Own
Lately, I've been too lasy to update this blog. I read something that blogs are just for self-involved people to vent. Well, I guess I'm not very self-involved since it takes me weeks to update it.
Since we last spoke, I bought a co-op. For everyone that don't know, a co-op is an apartment that you own. With a co-op, you have to be approved by a board and, on top of a purchasing price, you pay a monthly maintainence fee. In purchasing, you buy several shares in the corporation that is behind the co-op community. This means that when the time comes to buy a house, I can sell my co-op and walk away with some money, depending on how much is left on the loan. Everyone is already giving me advise how to decorate. It'll be fun decorating the 5 rooms (bedroom, dining room, living room, office, and bathroom). There's a kitchen, but, in my opinion, you don't decorate a kitchen.
On Sunday, I ran a 5K for Breast Cancer. Since my grandmother passed away in 2000, I try my best to do what I can donation wise in the fight against breast cancer. Sunday was a 5K run and in October I will be doing the breast cancer walk. So enough, I'll have the link to contribute online. Much more has happened in my life, but today I am off from work and I'm going to go enjoy it. Coming up are Third Eye Blind at Mulcahy's and the Pizza Eating Contest at Adventureland on Saturday. We'll see how long before the next update.
