The End of the Month Draws Near

As the end of November 2005 draws near, eyes turn to the upcoming month and the events that will ensue. Since the last posting, I've met new people, gone to bars (I mean this is me we're talking about..."The Drunk" according to the Hofstra Crew), and gone more in depth into my job.

Since we spoke last, I went to Dad's Retirement Party. While it was a night for him, it really made me feel great to see so many people expressing their love for my dad. Guess everyone likes him as much as we do. Also, in the last two weeks, I went to two parties for people I met while in Binghamton. At Aziza's party, I met Danielle. It's amazing I never met her before since I dated her roommate the year before they were roommate and knew the other two members of her Hillside apartment. At Jonathan's party, I saw Josh. I haven't seen Josh for years, especially since he was part of that group of friends that I lost contact with after September 2004.

So, what's planned for the future? First of all, I was asked the other day to go to Canada for three weeks to help train the Canadian-based, Henry Schein Credit Department. I will be there Monday through Friday and home on the weekends. Second, I have the upcoming co-op board meeting and closing of my newly acquired property. I am mere moments away from living on my own. Third, I have the Potato Latkes Eating Contest. Artie, the head of the Association of Independent Competitive Eaters personally asked me about doing it, and I was honored to accept. Fourth, I have Matt's parent's anniversary dinner. We always joke that Matt is like my brother and my parents are his second parent. The same is true the other way regarding his parents and me. These are the plans event, as of now, but who knows what will be added in the future. Until the next posting, be well and happy Thanksgiving to all.

It's Been a Fortnight (2 Weeks)

It's been a while, since I've posted my latest events. Since I've posted last many things have gone on, but I'm afraid I have a bad memory for the usual. Let's just recap the last week. Last monday, I saw Spamalot, a musical based on Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I would definately see it again. It was hilarious and the best thing I've been on Broadway since Lennon (which closed after 44 shows). Fast forward to Friday. I had not one, but two sets of plans. First, hung out with the work crew to celebrate Rocky (a sales reps) b-day at the Nutty Irishman in Farmingdale. My least favorite sales rep bought me 2 beers and a shot, so I stop talking bad about him. Didn't work. I still don't like him. From there, I proceeded to drive, yes drive, to Huntington where I met up with the Hofstra Crew to bar hop for Gaurav's and my b-day. Let's just say the least amount of beers I had in my hand was 3. Good times. Saturday was cards at Alan's where I lost $25 in evil New Jersey. Good times can be had in the worst state in the Northeast. The weekend ended with the usual bowling with Jeetan, Matt, and Somil at Levittown Lanes. Not bad for someone without a g/f on his b-day for the second year in a row. Good friends and good times...just how I like it. Tuesday is my 24th b-day and it should be good. I have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming year and I can't wait.
