Big News (for a really good friend)

Today, I got a voicemail from Bill and it went, "I have something important to tell you and I thought you should be one of the first to know." I had a feeling what was going to be said. I called back and left a message. Then I got another voicemail that went something to the effect of "Give me a call back to tonight but, if you're not able to, I'll be off until 3 tomorrow. If you can't call then I'll be at work until 7 so you can give me a call after that." This message sounded like it was kind of important b/c Bill's messages never really have that urgence to them. I had an idea what it was, but I played coy. That's when Bill hit me with the "yeah...well....I'm engaged." Bill and Danielle are now engaged to be married. I couldn't be happier for Bill. Bill is still in school and Danielle is currently working, but they didn't let the matter of money stop any thoughts of marriage. They made the relationship the focus. I'm glad someone understood the message I tried to relay to others so many months ago. Way to go, Bill. I wish you both lots of happiness in the years to come.

Ahhh...the weekend

It's finally here after waiting 5 long days. The plans are pretty loose as of right now. I have things in the wind, but I am committed to nothing. The house is empty and my wallet is ready for some use. Only downside to this weekend is I have a cold. Other than that, things are looking up. On another note, just wanna send a "Happy B-day" to Angela. Well that's it for now. Time to get comfortable and relax. Ahhh...the weekend.

One regret in love

If I have one regret with my past love, it would have to be dating girl who were first friend. When you break up, you can never go back. In essense, you lose a friend and a girlfriend, but first you lose the friend when you gain them as a girlfriend. There are things you can help a girl friend that you can never tell a girlfriend without a fight behind it. Hopefully, I've learn my lesson concerning that.

The Weekly Update

As I get older, the weeks just go faster and faster. With my job, I couldn't be more thankful. So, I forgot to update the blog on the concert. After tailgating in the parking lot with Jeetan and Bill, we got to catch the last few from Hoobastank and the entire Velvet Revolver set. Two words - good times. The only thing that could have made it better would have been more covers of the STP and G n' R songs, though they did do an awesome cover of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here", one of my favs. So, now its officially Wednesday and I'm looking forward to the MBA/MS cruise with the b-school crew and maybe I trip to NYC to take a tour of the bar scene on Saturday....oh, and maybe a 5K or two. We'll see what happens. Last word is I now have plans for July 4th weekend. Jonathan and I are making a trip to Montreal for 3 days and 4 nights. Kind of ironic, going to Canada for the U.S.'s b-day. At least, we're going up on Canada Day. That's it for now. I have to get some sleep for work or else I'll really tell people what they can do with their orders. Have a good rest of the week.

I found out today that people are actually reading my blog. I love that. Makes me feel all good inside. Keep an eye out as summer begins, the nights get nicer, and the entries, with luck, get more interested. Events to come this weekend......a 5K run for charity in Bellmore and Velvet Revolver at the only corporate sponsors amphitheatre on LI, Jones Beach.

A Plan for May

I always get into things too late. I started listing to Nirvana after Kurt Cobain killed himself and watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer about 2 years after it was off the air. I've decided that I will make up for lost time and watch the seasons on DVD of the OC and Nip Tuck. Both have been very talked about and it's about time I buy into the hype. At this rate, I may even end of listening to the Dave Matthews Band soon enough. For people who know me, this is worthy of a "gasp."

A Great Weekend

I always create and delete this web journal. With the ending of a great weekend, I am reopening the Windom Into My Life. This weekend differed from every weekend by one thing and that one thing made this the best weekend in a while. I'll leave it at that. Have a good week to everyone that reads.
